Electrical-Electronics Engineering

KGTÜ Elektrik-Elektronik Mühendisliği

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is newly established in our university. Students who prefer Faculty of Engineering-Architecture at the beginning of the academic year of 2017-2018 and who choose our department at the beginning of the 4th semester will be trained.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a fundamental engineering discipline that designs and develops technological solutions in various fields of study using basic science knowledge and mathematical applications in technology. Among the working areas of this engineering branch are to provide electricity generation, projects of energy transmission and distribution, processing of signals in analog and digital systems, development of communication systems, development of medical electronic devices and control devices.

Electric - Electronics Engineering has a very important role in the development of technologies that have become indispensable parts of life. Access to technologies such as electricity and energy, microelectronics, radar, robotics, medical devices and communication devices, which are the sources of electricity and electronics engineering, has become a criterion of modern civilization and being developed in today's world.

We aim to train engineers who have strong academic knowledge in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and transform the knowledge into a product, as it is called at the core philosophy of our university, so that they can bring solutions to engineering problems. In addition to theoretical lectures, our curriculum includes intensive and project-oriented lectures in order to bring our students the ability to transform knowledge into product.

The department's teaching language is English. Our students will gain the ability to communicate in the world to follow technological developments and provide them with a scientific presentation of their work. At the end of this highly qualified training they get, they will participate in a wide range of working areas.
